LifeTech Early Middle College FAQ

An “Early/Middle College School” is a stand-alone high school, Public School Academy (PSA), or a school within a school designed to allow a learner to earn an Associate’s degree, technical certification, or 60 transferable college credits at the same time while earning a high school diploma. This requires the school to offer a formal fifth year to the curriculum for the learner.

Learners who are ready to accelerate their education and begin taking college classes should not be held back by traditional models of education. LifeTech Learners will find that this program will bridge the gap between high school and college and make college a very realistic and affordable option.

Currently, LifeTech Learners have access to Davenport University programs and Ferris State University programs.  Our most popular college degree programs are in the areas of computer sciences, business programs, cyber security, and general studies programs (providing 60 credits toward a bachelor’s degree). LifeTech Academy will add additional new degree programs for our Learners as the job market advances.

Yes. In order to help the Learner begin transitioning to a college environment and ease the transition, all courses offered through our university partners may be blended.

All LifeTech Learners beginning 9th, 10th, and 11th grade who have a cumulative GPA of 2.5* or higher, meet minimal testing requirements, and have completed the registration process to their degree program are eligible.

LifeTech Academy covers the cost of tuition, books, internet access, and supplies for all registered and enrolled Learners in academic good standing.

All of our courses are offered in an online format and do not require transportation. If a learner chooses to take an in-person course offered through their degree program they will need to provide their own transportation.
